I've had many watches in my life, from a number of different brands, however there is one brand I can definitely say I have owned more watches from than any other and that is Swatch. It started when I was quite young, in fact I believe my first ever watch, after I learnt to tell the time properly, was from them.
While that watch is long gone and others I own aren't produced any more, except the Chess Board Watch ; one which my parents actually brought me home from the home of Swatch, Switzerland a number of years ago now I have just added a new Swatch to my collection.
The latest addition comes in the form of the Summer Socks watch and came courtesy of House of Watches .
The Summer Socks watch is from the unisex range and as such features a slightly larger face than the ladies version I have previously worn. In fact this beauty features a face of 40mm in width, which actually makes telling the time a breeze (as long as you are ok without numbers on the face), but perhaps if you have very slender wrists could swamp them.
Just in case you're wondering if you can wear this watch while you go for a paddle in this sea this summer, it is only splash proof so perhaps leave it safely on the beach.
Personally the more I see this watch the more it grows on me, it wasn't my first choice because I couldn't really imagine how and when I would wear it, although I found the pattern on it really intriguing. However having had it in my hand, I've been able to see it working with different items and it often brings a much needed splash of colour to outfits, I hadn't even expected it to work with.
When it comes to quality, I've never had a problem with any of the Swatch's I have owned and that's not something I say lightly, I really do believe they are well worth the money you pay.
The Summer Socks Swatch Watch costs £44.50 and can be brought online from The Watch Shop.
